Riding weather?

What weather is okay to ride in? I know people used to ride everyday, rain or snow, but I am a realitive beginer rider. We live in Utah, and it's windy a lot. I have heard the horses don't do well in the wind, and they don't respond well. My horse is 5, and professionaly trained, but he still needs working with. I want to ride more often, and work him hard, but will the wind or clouds bother him too much and risk his and my safety?Riding weather?
I've ridden in all weather conditions. Wind can be the worst, especially if your horse tends to be spooky anyway. They can't hear as well if it's really windy, so they really aren't paying attention to the rider as much as they are to their surroundings. Also, the wind blows a lot of things across the trail that can startle them.

If given the choice, I would sit it out on a windy day - it's a good day to clean tack. If it's always windy, though, you really have no choice. Then try to go out with calm, seasoned trail horses and good, mature riders that put safety first. That way, your less experienced horse will learn from them, and (hopefully) be calm, since they are calm.Riding weather?
If he lives outside in a pasture, then obviously he has to get used to the wind and has no other choice. Same with clouds, rain, snow, and any other type of normal weather. If it was insanely windy, like you can barely walk to your door without getting blown over, then i would say it is too windy to ride. Clouds aren't generally something people say is a problem for riding. They're just not a big deal.

If its cloudy then its fine to ride. And i don't really know the wind conditions of Utah so i can't say for that.
