Extreme weather - heat - floods - how is it where you are ?

HELENA, Mont. - If a record-breaking heat wave doesn't lift soon, cattle rancher Sharon McDonald may see her hay crop turn to dust. Oppressive temperatures eased a bit Friday in some parts of the West, but McDonald's central Montana ranch baked under triple-digit heat. Forecasters reported little relief in the days ahead, saying the weather system that brought the high temperatures could last well into next week.

In Montana, where cattle outnumber residents by more than 2 to 1, livestock and people sought shade and drought-weary farmers watched for damage to grain.

"We are trying to get our hay up before it disintegrates," said McDonald, a rancher near Melville. "It just gets crispy and just falls apart."

Extreme heat plagued much of Idaho, Nevada, Utah, Oregon and Washington state.Extreme weather - heat - floods - how is it where you are ?
Here in the uk, we have been getting nothing but rain, causing some very serious in some parts of the country.
i am in Georgia and it is hot here, usually around 99 during the day. I hate summer, it will only get worse.Extreme weather - heat - floods - how is it where you are ?
Yeah, I'm in Washington. Not that hot here though...

I've heard from the weatherman that we might be "flirting with the 90's pretty soon." We've been hitting the 80's and high 70's. Today was a mild 77 degrees. -Sigh- How I wish it was 65 degrees!
I live 10 miles north of Salt Lake City. would you believe we hosted the 2002 winter Olympics? It's been over 100 degrees here for days now with no end in sight...

Utah is so beautiful...but we live at the edge of extremes because it really is a desert.

Hot "indian" summers

and COLD mountain wintersExtreme weather - heat - floods - how is it where you are ?
"Only" got up to 114 in Vegas today.
Las Vegas, NV. Extreme heat. Today it was 115. I can't remember when we had our last significant rainfall. Of course, we live in the Mojave Desert so this time of heat is not unnatural or unexpected. Just miserable walking to your car. Once in your car, the inside temp. can reach 200 degrees if left in the sun. Most of who can just stay inside and watch our electric bill ascend to the Moon. Hate this place.
Low hundreds here. Driest year on record so far.
In Arizona it is hotter every summer and not enough snow in the winter. We have been having record number of fires in the last 6 years. I suppose it is only going to get worse because of global warming. President Bush doesn't believe in Science so we are sort of screwed until he leaves office.
im in NY and its pretty cool around here..
I'm in SoCal, San Diego area, and its been very hot here. Theres been a lot of fires too. They say this is the dryest summer in 90 years. Pray for rain!
Yeah.. Mother nature can really throw a curve ball now and then can't she?

Up here in the NE it's pretty much the most mild summer I have experienced.

I don't think it's anything to be concerned about. One season doesn't make a trend in a history of billions of years.
In eastern Utah here, it is hot and burning.
Arlington,Texas- we have had rain for 19 straight days and are setting records all over the state for rainfall. In the Dallas area, we are already over our annual rainfall total. I normally have to water my yard and garden at least 2

-3 times a week. I have only watered my yard once this year, and it really didn't need it. We have not even seen hot temps yet. We usually have at least 1 100 degree day but have only been in the 90's once or twice. We are set for temps and dryer weather in the coming week with temps a little more normal in the mid 90's. Even my electric bill is about 1/2 of what it was this time last year. With a little luck maybe we can avoid a string of 100 degree days. One can dream.
i live in LA california and its like ALMOST ALWAYS like between 80 - 9? in my area. i HATE the heat and warm weather. and it hasnt rained for like a REALLY long time. in the recent years ive been able to actually count the number of days it rains and thats insane cus wen i was growing up i remember it would rain at completely random days and sumtimes it would rain for 2 days in a row, now WEN it does rain it rains only for about half a day and usually less. global warming is horrible cus i can c its obviously really screwing u up over there really bad with all this increasing weird weather.
its supposed to be raining now here in the philippines but the weather's still like summer
all threw out history there has been bad weather extremes and such
Here in the north of Mexico City we have been experiencing powerful electrical storms, a lot of rain is usual during this time of the year (summer) but the electrical activity this rainy season has been the most intense in several years.

What's goin' on???
idk what the weather report says, and that thermometer good for nothing colder or hotter just like the reports.

if your in the sun there is no cooling and the shade is only small content, the sweat keeps on pouring.

yea its hot.Fontana Ca.speedway hot ! triple digit .

any thing after 75* ,not what i like.

once those ice glaciers get a wiff of all this we're realy gona hear it from those clouds of grief !
I reside in Texas and the weather has been gorgeous! Usually this time of year the grass is already brown, but right now everything is lucious and green. The recent moisture has been a blessing. If this is what global warming is like, bring it on. Temperatures have still been in the nineties, but the humidity has been very benficial.
