If an ocean is 30 miles from a place, would that place be able to have four changing seasons type weather?

How close would you have to be to the ocean to have California coast type weather. Could you have a distinct four seasons, like in Utah, only thirty miles from an ocean? If an ocean is 30 miles from a place, would that place be able to have four changing seasons type weather?
Sure. Cities on the east coast of the U.S., like New York and Boston, are right next to the ocean and they definitely have four distinct seasons. The reason is that air masses at those latitudes generally move from west to east, so the east coast is mainly influenced by air masses that originate over land. The west coast is influenced by air masses from the ocean, which is why there is less seasonal variation.
