When is the best time to visit Wyoming and Utah?

When are the warmer months, and when can I expect the best weather? When is the best time to visit Wyoming and Utah?
Hi I'm a resident of Wyoming and I've traveled to Utah before. I agree with Pamela's answer.

I would not go in May. During May is usually when Colorado and Wyoming start plowing out the roads that go through the mountains. They are typically closed between Labor Day and Memorial Weekend.

It has been known to flurry in June here--it's not and every year thing, but it can happen. Sometimes the climate can be more on the cooler side too.

In the later months (August and September) Wyoming and Utah are pretty drought prone so everything turns brown.

I believe the perfect time to go would be early July. The climate will be nice, no new snowfall, the grass %26amp; such is less likely to be brown, and if you go way up to the mountains there is usually still a little bit of snow. When is the best time to visit Wyoming and Utah?
May, June, and September are generally the best. In midsummer it can be extremely hot here. It also depends where in the state you are going and what you plan on doing. You don't really want to plan a hike through the desert in August but there is much less chance of a flash flood in a canyon if this is where your going. Wyoming is probably better in the midsummer months. As for the weather, it is sunny here 340 days a year so it is almost always nice weather. Most rain comes in April and November. The hottest months are of course July and August. The climate between Wyoming and Utah can vary greatly due to elevation. When is the best time to visit Wyoming and Utah?
