The summer here in Texas is longer (May through September) and hotter (in the 90's usually; with some days over 100) than in most other states with the exception of Arizona. In San Antonio in particular, the humidity is also quite higher.
Be that as it may, everything here is air-conditioned and I mean just about everything, schools, factories, offices, stores, cars, buses...so it isn't as bad as it sounds. In return, we have beautiful springs (March-May) and falls (Oct.-Dec.) when the temperature is quite temperate (in the 60's and 70's ) and winters (Jan-Feb) are short and quite mild (usually in the 40's and 50's).
Come on down! You won't regret it.

It's pretty cool out right now only like 36 degrees, that is rare for here. It is normally very hot during the summer and we very rarely receive snow.( I think the last time was 1985)
Hot, hot %26amp; hotter with about 2 monthe of a rather mild winter. Nothing like Nebraske where I now live. I lived in SA for 40+ years. They get infrequent snow %26amp; ice during the short winter. The last time I remember a real snow was in '82 %26amp; that was about 12 inches. a real fluke. Summers will be rough on you for a while. 100+ degrees with 100% humidity.
Good Luck.
