Why does the weatherman always change the weather?

I mean, why doesn't he just pick one temperature and precipitation and stick with it forever is stead of changing it every single day? I'm tired of having sunny skies one day, then stormy skies the next.

Because the earth's atmosphere is dynamic, not static. The weather forecast changes as conditions change, and as more and better information becomes available.
The weatherman has no control over what the weather actually is. The weatherman is just a personality who tells you what the weather likely will be. He isn't God...you know. He is just a news personality, who receives information from professional atmospheric scientists who study the present conditions and make guesses about what might happen.





If you are wondering why he may change his prediction for any given day, that is because he receives MORE INFORMATION off of which to base the prediction.Why does the weatherman always change the weather?
The weatherman gets his data from computerized weather models. (google 'weather online expert charts' to see them.)

There are loads of different models. Some of them are very good at predicting weather in the short term other medium term. The weather man must combine both short/medium and use his expert knowledge to make a prediction on the weather.

Whats more, these models are updated FOUR times a day. The computer will change things four times a day. Hence, the weather mans prediction changes

For 1 month after that the high temperature will be 40 deg F and the low temp 33 deg F and it will rain 24 hours a day for 30 days.



For the 5 months after that the high temperature for the day will be -48 deg F and it will snow 6 inches every second day.

He doesn't get to 'pick'.
He does not makes changes.He purely reports based on data made available to him periodically.
Because they can't correctly predict the weather that far in advance. They can only make "lucky guesses".
